Greetings, neighbors! We hope you are all weathering the snowstorm and extremely cold weather. Below is some information we hope you find helpful.

Erroneous PMI Billing

In case you missed the DoorLoop announcement of January 30th, PMI Meridian Management (our previous management company) sent out false statements via US mail in January. These should be disregarded as they have had no relationship with our HOA since spring of 2024.

Communication

The board is working diligently to improve communication with our homeowners. To that end, we have upgraded DoorLoop, accessed through the web page. This upgrade will enable group messages to be sent to homeowners and enable better tracking and response to work orders, among other improvements. The current list of e-mails has  some discrepancies, and we are attempting to contact those with seemingly incorrect e-mails via other means.

Work Orders

We are requesting that all work orders be sent through DoorLoop, in order to track them more effectively through completion. If you are unsure about how to put in a work order, any board member or Michael Dalton at Pegasus is willing to provide a tutorial. Please let Pegasus know if you wish to have assistance to submit your work order. Steps to access the program are below:

1. Go to our website: https://watersedgelakemonroe.org/

2. Once there, choose the “maintenance requests” at the top of the page.

3. That will bring up DoorLoop, and you will choose “no requests yet". Follow the instructions step by step to submit your work order. You will get a response that the request has been received, and if any further information is needed.

Major Projects

Concrete and drainage work on both the East and the West end of Waters Edge Drive was completed in November. Also completed was some patchwork on particularly hazardous spots. The new drains have proven to be effective in rerouting water, and the concrete work has

repaired the worst hazards, and more will be repaired during 2026.

Landscaping and Tree Work

We have contracted with two businesses to do tree work. You will notice it being completed when the weather is more conducive for outdoor work. Both Soaring Eagle and Bluestone will be out to complete the work, including removing part of a tree that was struck by lightning during one of our fierce storms. Leaf removal in gutters and throughout the property was completed in November to get the community ready for winter.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, February 21: Chili Cookoff at Upper Talons at the restaurant. Your family and friends are invited to come with you as you cook up the best chili you can make. More details will be forthcoming on the Facebook and web page.

Saturday, March 21: Annual Meeting at The Nest at 10:00 a.m. Social hour begins at 9:00 a.m. Please watch for proxies to be sent out very soon if you cannot make the meeting.

Saturday, April 18th: Community Spring Clean Up with a rain date the following Saturday, the 25th. Pitch-in at the pool will follow. It will be a great time to see neighbors and friends and spruce up after a long winter. Some ideas for the day include fire trail cleanup, pruning, gazebo painting and path work, entry sign painting, and clean-up up of debris behind the units that has blown about during the year. We might even tackle the trash shed, if there is any interest. No special talents are required, but anyone who has some expertise in any area is welcome to share!
